Growing a group of men who are interested in promoting non-violence and are willing to commit to actively engaging the community with this effort.

On September 24th, Men Against Domestic Violence hosted our first annual bike ride to support victims of domestic violence. Enthusiasm was high, food great and the music by “In God We Trust” and “C.J. Vaughn” was fantastic at Charlie Daniels Park in Mt. Juliet. Riders left Centerville for the 70 plus mile ride in perfect weather. They were able to show off their great looking bikes, but especially their support for our domestic violence programs. Both Women Are Safe and Home Safe benefited from the event.

The effort of hard working volunteers and our sponsors made for a successful inaugural event. We especially want to thank the following businesses who gave generously: Papa KayJoe’s, Pamida, Pepper’s, The Renaissance Center, The Trophy Case, Just For You, Trade Secrets, Gregory Maintenance Co., Sonic Drive-In, and Sun Drop distributors. With their generous help we were able to contribute to both Women Are Safe and Home Safe as well as raise awareness that ending domestic violence needs all of us to be involved.

Thanks to all who helped.
